Minsk to host Franchising Belarus 2013 forum 14 February
Franchising Belarus 2013 Business Forum will take place in Minsk on 14 February, BelTA learnt from the PR department of the Economy Ministry. The event will be held as part of Belarus’ small and medium-sized business support program for 2013-2015 approved by Council of Ministers’ Resolution No.1242 of 29 December 2012.
The one-day forum is aimed to inform on franchising prospects and benefits. The participants of the meeting will get familiar with the experience of post-Soviet countries in using this type of relations between market participants such as Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Baltic states.
Belarusian companies will learn about the ways to develop distribution channels through franchising and establishing ties with foreign partners. Belarusian businessmen will get familiar with the leading foreign companies that use franchising. Domestic companies which plan to use or already using the franchising model will get an opportunity to establish business contacts with other infrastructure actors.
Partaking in the forum will be foreign franchisers, investors, national companies. Heads of the Franchising Associations of Russia (Yuri Mikhailichenko) and Ukraine (Andrei Krivonos) will present reports on the history, achievements, plans and prospects of cooperation in this business area. The Economy Ministry of Belarus will be presented at the event by Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship Alexander Gruzdov.
